Home Sweet Home

USED: water color

This set was one of the many projects I created in my color theory class at Loyola. I was heavily inspired by Chicago’s unique architecture and decided to add a little bit of my own flair using non-traditional color palettes in a couple of these houses.

I liked the idea of stepping out of my comfort zone for this project. By ditching rulers and picking colors I wouldn’t normally use, I found a new style that I never thought I’d really use. I learned that I can make myself comfortable in this “imperfect” space and actually have fun! Today, this set is proudly displayed at my parents’ home.
