As my time with JLDELLO continued, I found myself really appreciating the chance to learn more and more about layout design. I was thrilled at any opportunity to put these puzzles of long copies and vivid images together. Not only did I get to spend more time refining my skills but I also learned a lot about this exciting medium that I eventually pulled a lot of inspiration from. Working with such text-heavy pieces made it easier for me to transition into working with less heavy work but working with “lighter” pieces aren’t always easier. I learned that they’re just a different type of puzzle to work with.
